If you enjoy a drink every now and then, leave your money out of the casino if you set out to do your drinking in a casino. I am serious. Clean out your pocketbook, your billfold, and keep all cash, credit cards and checkbooks back at the hotel. Only take only the money you intend to use on drinks, tips and few dollars you expect to burn and keep the rest behind.
Cynical? Not really. Realistic more like. You could experience a success following a boozy night out with your buddies and be lucky enough to hit a marathon toss at a hot craps table. Don’t forget that account considering that it is as brief as it gets if you continually drink and wager. The two just don’t mix.
Keeping your cash back at the hotel is a bit drastic, but preventative measures for dramatic actions is a requirement. If you gamble to profit, then don’t consume alcohol and gamble. If you like to burn your cash nary a concern, then consume all the gratuitous alcohol your stomach can handle, but do not take plastic credit and cheques to throw into the mix of chasing squanderings after your inebriated self loses all the cash!
Allow me to carry this one step more. Don’t drink alcohol and then go on to the internet to play in your preferred casino either. I enjoy a drink from the comfort of my apartment, however seeing that I am connected through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit at my fingertips, I can not consume alcohol and wager.
Why? Although I don’t consume alcohol to excess, once I drink, it is absolutely sufficient to blur my common sense. I wager, so I do not drink alcohol when wagering. If you are more of a drinker, do not wager at the same time. Both make for a decimating, and expensive, drink.
